Today is another nostalgic transformation. Miss Tickles received an adorable outfit from her aunt and uncle for christmas, but she was only able to wear it a few times before she outgrew it. In that time though, she was able to stain it too much. Instead of getting rid of it completely, I decided to use the butterflies on a plain hand-me-down pink shirt given to My Princess.
I found some crochet lace in mom’s stash to add too. I did a small zig zag stitch at the top and bottom of the lace to attach it to the shirt. Then used fusible webbing and a small zig zag stitch to attach the butterflies.
I didn’t want to waste the cute flower pattern on the back of the shirt, so I pulled out a pair of thrift store pants with slightly worn knees that I bought a few months ago.
I used the fusible webbing and then hand stitched the hearts on to the pants.
